트란스페어 한국-엔에르베 2011-2013 TRANSFER Korea-NRW 2011-2013

 트란스페어는 한국과 독일 노르트라인베스트팔렌주 사이의 국제 미술 교류 행사로서, 엔에르베 문화사업국의 주최로 한국의 국립현대미술관, 대안공간루프, 아르코미술관과 독일의 본미술관, 오스트하우스미술관 하겐, 쿤스트할레 뒤셀도르프 등 모두 6개 기관이 참여하여 열린 대규모 프로젝트다. 2011년부터 2013년까지 총 3년간 이어진 트란스페어는 한국과 독일에서 각각 7명씩 모두 14명의 작가를 선발해 진행됐으며, 6개 기관의 기획자들을 비롯해 프로젝트에 기여한 비평가들, 그리고 교류의 과정에 참여한 수많은 사람에게 다양한 경험과 지식, 창의적 역량을 쌓을 기회가 되었다.

    

 작가 선발에서 각 기관 기획자들의 교류, 상대국 방문, 교차 비평 등 그간의 모든 과정에 대한 시각적 결과물은 전시와 출판의 형식으로 양국 예술계와 대중에 공개된다. 이미 트란스페어에 대한 도록과 저널 등이 출판되었으며, 독일에서는 10월 중 3개 기관에서 각각 전시가 개최되어 현재도 진행되고 있다. 그리고 한국에서는 12월 13일 열리는 공동 오프닝 리셉션과 함께 국립현대미술관, 대안공간루프, 아르코미술관에서 각각 트란스페어를 마무리하는 전시를 개최한다.

 Transfer Korea-NRW(TRANSFER) is an international art exchange program between Korea and Nordrhein-Westfalen Germany, hosted by NRW KULTURsekretariat. Six institutions are taking part in this program: National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, Alternative Space LOOP and Arko Art Center in Korea; Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, Kunstmuseum Bonn, and Osthaus Museum Hagen in Germany. As three-year project from 2011 to 2013, TRANSFER has selected 14 artists including seven German and seven Korean artists and run the programs for them such as exchange residences, seminars and finally exhibitions. TRANSFER has also worked with a lot of curators and critics from German and Korean art scene and set a place to share ideas, develop international relations, make experiences together.

 The whole process of curatorial exchanges, visiting partner countries and cross-critics will be presented in public; Journals , joint catalogue and the final exhibitions. The Journals and joint catalogue have published in fall, 2013 and three museums in Germany have opened exhibitions in October 2013. And finally on 13th December 2013, Korean institutions hold exhibitions, which is the grand finale of TRANSFER and at the same time, start of new relationship between Germany and Korea based on shared experiences together.
