더 히어로 : 우리 모두가 영웅이다! The Hero : We all are heroes!

<The Hero-우리 모두가 영웅이다!>는 우리 시대의 야구영웅 박찬호 선수와 IMF 이후 갖가지 시련과 고통 속에서도 꿈을 잃지 않고 살아온 이 땅의 모든 이들을 기리는 전시다. 전시는 스포츠 스타와 조형예술의 만남을 시도하며 박찬호 선수의 야구인생을 따라 그의 꿈과 고독, 영광의 순간들을 돌아보고 그가 우리에게 남긴 희망이라는 메시지를 조망한다. 전시는 크게 제1부 ‘Perfect Game’과 제2부 ‘Park’s Gallery’로 나뉜다.

 제1부는 박찬호 선수가 보여준 삶의 여정을 따라 각각의 테마를 강익중, 권오상, 김태은, 뮌(MIOON), 송필, 유현미, 이배경, 이현세 등 다양한 분야의 아티스트들이 참여하여 예술적으로 표현하였다. 박찬호 선수가 쓰던 모자, 글러브, 야구화 등 야구용품과 124승 공 등 주요 아이템들이 요소요소에 배치되었다.

 제2부에서는 박찬호 선수와 관련된 아이템 외에 동료선수들과 관련된 아이템, 박찬호 선수와 메이저리그 역사에 대해 더욱 잘 알 수 있게 해주는 갖가지 조형물과 수집품, 인포그래픽이 등장한다. 관객은 전시장에서 박찬호 선수가 꼼꼼히 수집해온 야구 컬렉션과 박찬호 선수의 투구 자세 조형물, 구종에 따른 그립 엑스레이 사진과 손 캐스팅, 야구를 모티브로 한 인터렉티브 작품 등 다양한 콘텐츠들을 만나 볼 수 있다.

 <The Hero-We all are heroes!> is an exhibition that commemorates our baseball hero, Chan ho Park and everyone else who didn’t lose hope in middle of suffering during and after IMF. This exhibition attempts to merge a sports star and Fine Arts and highlights the hopeful message that Park has left as looking back his dream, solitude and glorious moments in his baseball life. The exhibition is divided into two section, ‘Perfect Game’ and ‘Park’s Gallery’.

 In the first section, many artists from various fields including, Ik-Joong Kang, Osang Gwon, Tae Eun Kim, Mioon, Hyunmi Yoo, Song Feel, BeiKyoung Lee and Hyun Se Lee, artistically expressed Chan-ho Park’s journey of life with different themes. In addition, Park’s many items such as caps, gloves, shoes and 124 winning balls are located in each section. The second part of the exhibition presents not only items related to Chan-ho Park, but also items of his colleague players, and many collections and infographics that show the history of Major league. Visitors are able to see the collection that Park has gathered carefully, his pitching poses, X-ray images and castings of different grips, interactive artwork with the motif of baseball and other various contents.
