한국i문화사업단(구 한국일보 문화사업단)은 13번째 기획전시로 인상주의 예술의 보고 독일 발라프리하르츠미술관 소장품을 중심으로 한 ‘ 풍경으로 보는 인상주의’전을 개최한다. 이번 전시는 인상주의 미술의 모든 것을 ‘풍경화’라는 단일 장르를 통해 소개하는 국내 첫 전시로, 인상주의 미술의 탄생에서 변화와 발전 소멸에 이르는 긴 흐름을 이해하고, 창작의 다양성을 살펴볼 기회이다. 이번 전시에는 쿠르베, 마네, 모네, 르누아르, 세잔, 반 고흐, 고갱, 쇠라, 시냑, 시슬레 등 인상주의의 시작과 끝을 아우르는 대표 화가들이 총망라된다. 대표작품으로 마네의 <아스파라거스 다발>, 세잔의 <엑상프로방스의 서쪽 풍경>, 반 고흐의 <랑글루아다리> 등이 있다.
또한, 인상주의의흐름을 더욱 손쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 6개의 연대기적 테마(1. 인상주의의 선구자, 2. 프랑스 인상주의, 3. 후기 인상주의, 4. 신인상주의, 5. 야수파와 나비파, 6. 독일 인상주의)로 구성된다. 70여 점의 진품을 통해 빛의 시대를 연 대가들의 작품이 변모하는 과정을 한눈에 볼 수 있으며 인상주의 미술을 총정리하는 소중한 전시이다.
The Hankook i Cultural Project Center (the former Hankook Ilbo Cultural Project Center) presents the exhibition titled ‘Impressionist Landscape’as its thirteenth special exhibition, featuring the collection of Wallraf-Richartz Museum in Germany. As a first presentation in Korea to feature Impressionism through a single genre, “landscape”, the exhibition will be an opportunity to understand the long flow of Impressionism from its birth to development and dissipation. The exhibition features all the pivotal artists embracing the beginning and the end of the Impressionism, such as Courbet, Manet, Monet, Renoir, Cézanne, Van Gogh, Seurat, Signac, Sisley, and so on. Major Works of the exhibition include Manet’s <A Bunch of Asparagus>, Cézanne’s <Landscape in the West of Aix-en-Provence> and <The Drawbridge> by Van Gogh.
The exhibition is comprised of six chronological themes (1. Precursors of Impressionism, 2. French Impressionism, 3. Post-Impressionism, 4. Neo-Impressionism, 5. Fauves and Nabis, 6. German Impressionism) in order to easily understand the flow of Impressionism. This is a valuable exhibition to comprehensively review Impressionism through nearly 70 genuine works of the great masters, who has opened a new era of light.
