부산시립미술관은 3월 19일부터 5월 29일까지 ‘한국근대미술 : 새로 넓게 보기’전을 연다. 이 전시는 17세 영·정조 시대에 활약했던 작가들부터 20세기의 작가들까지 총 94명 작가의 작품이 전시된다. 전시는 근대도입기에 ‘단원 김홍도’, ‘현재 심사정’, ‘표암 강세황’을 비롯해 ‘추사 김정희’, ‘우봉 조희룡’ 의 작품부터 ‘박수근’, ‘오지호’, ‘이인성’ 등 우리나라 근대화단을 풍성하게 만든 작가들의 작품으로 구성된다. 특별전으로 ‘석창 홍세섭’과 ‘수화 김환기’의 작품만을 따로 전시하는 갤러리를 만들었다.
이 전시는 한국근대미술과 현대미술을 형성한 작가들의 작품을 한자리에서 감상할 수 있는 기회가 될 것이다. 또한 한국미술을 현성한 작가들을 생몰연대순으로 작품을 배열하여 미술역사의 흐름을 감지할 수 있다. 이 전시와 아울러 부대행사로 전시설명회와 강연회도 개최할 예정이다.
Busan Museum of Art begins the exhibition, ‘Korea modern Art : New Seeing’. The exhibition plan emphasizes education as well as just showing exhibits. The exhibition plan is giving opportunity to see the modern period of Korea Art all at once.
It is an undeniable that the foundation of Korea contemporary art has been developed based on that of Korea Modern Art. However, the real state of exhibition of art museum mostly consists of exhibiting contemporary art works. In order to understand and enjoy contemporary art, it is necessary to know the history and development of modern art. It’s necessary to understand the history of Korea modern Art for those artists of modern art to improve their art works as well as art visitors.
This exhibition plan is considered to be a suitable plan to have a new look of modern art along with trying to have a broad view. In addition, this is an opportunity to teach middle·high school students about Korea modern art, and this is also an opportunity for art visitors to appreciate Korea modern art works all at once.
