전준-조용한 외출

일민미술관에서 7월 15일까지 열리는 ‘조용한 외출’전은 40여 년 동안 한길을 걸어온 한 조각가의 인생과 한국 조각의 흐름을 보여주는 전시이다.
전준씨는 나무, 돌, 철 등의 여러 재료를 사용하여 한결같이 추구해온 ‘소리’라는 주제의 형상화를 통해 조화와 소통을 시도한다. 이번 전시는 초기 작품에서부터 최근 작품까지 100여점이 전시되며, 조각적 회화, 회화적 조각 작업을 통해 조각과 회화가 한데 어울리는 독특한 작가의 작품세계를 볼 수 있다.
1층은 전준의 초기작품 중심으로 사람의 형상을 다룬 브론즈 작품들이, 2층은 ‘소리’를 조형화하는 철조 작품과 조각의 효과가 드러난 캔버스 작품들로 구성되며, 3층에서는 한지 부조작품과 함께 수직적으로 세워진 목조, 석조, 철조 등의 작품들이 ‘소리’ 어울림을 증폭시켜가는 모습을 재현하였다.

Chon, Joon-Quiet Outing

‘Quiet Outing’, which is held in Ilmin museum of art, shows both the life of one sculptor who has been devoted himself to sculpture and the stream of Korean sculpture.
Chon Joon has been longing for communication by working the theme of ‘sound’ that he had been pursued from the 70s using various kinds of materials, such as wood, stone, metal. ‘Quiet outing’ exhibits about 100 pieces from his early works to recent works. Though paintings reminiscent of sculpture and sculpture reminiscent of painting, Chon Joon presents a unique world of art, where sculpture and painting are in harmony.
This exhibition consists of three parts. Bronze works in shape of people from his early days is on display on first floor. On second floor, Steel works in theme of ‘Sound’ and paintings which capture an essence of sculpture are displayed. Embossed sculpture on Korean papers and the wood, stone, metal pieces of sculpture which are stood vertically amplify the harmony of the sound on third floor.
