한국의 행위미술 1967-2007
한국 행위미술의 40년 역사를 회고함으로써 그 역사를 총정리하고 미술사적 의의를 확립하는 <한국의 행위미술 1967-2007>전이 국립현대미술관에서 8월 24일부터 10월 28일까지 개최된다. 이번 전시에서는 한국 최초의 해프닝으로 기록되고 있는 <비닐우산과 촛불이 있는 해프닝>에서부터 김구림, 정강자, 정찬승, 강국진, 백남준, 이건용, 성능경, 윤진섭, 이불, 이상현, 조습, 박혜성, 이윰, 고승욱, 낸시랭 등으로 이어지는 행위미술 계보를 총망라하는 작품 및 자료 100여 점이 전시된다. 행위미술 작품들은 각종 기록물 등 관련 자료들만을 그 흔적으로 남기고 형체 없이 사라져버리는 경우가 많은데, 이번 전시는 한국 현대미술의 흐름 속에서 행위미술이 걸어온 40년의 역사를 되돌아보는 하나의 거대한 보존처리작업이 될 것이다.

Performance Art of Korea 1967-2007
The National Museum of Contemporary Art presents 'Performance Art of Korea 1967-2007' from August 24 to October 28. This exhibition contains major art works which define and recollect 40 years of Korean Performance Art. This exhibition is being held to commemorate the lineage of Korean Performance artists, featuring over 100 pieces from various artists starting from 'A Plastic Umbrella and Candlelight'(1967) up to performance arts by various artists including Kim Ku-lim, Jung Kang-ja, Jung Chan-seung, Kang Kuk-jin, Paik Nam-june, Lee Kun-yong, Sung Neung-kyung, Yoon Jin-sup, Lee Bul, Jo Seub, Park Hye-sung, Ium, Koh Seung-wook and Nancy Lang. Although most performance art tend to disappear only leaving memories and traces as records, this retrospective allows us to review 40 years of performance art history and engrave a delicate glimpse in our memory. On the other hand, this exhibition functions as a huge conservation practice itself.
