시티_넷 아시아 2007
아시아 미술의 현주소를 점검하고 아시아 미술의 미래와 발전 가능성을 모색해 봄으로써, 아시아가 서구 중심의 미술에 하나의 커다란 문맥을 형성할 수 있는 기회를 마련하는 'City_net Asia 2007'전이 10월 10일부터 11월 11일까지 서울시립미술관에서 열린다.
이 전시는 아시아의 주요 도시에 위치하고 있는 국공립 미술관들의 네트워킹으로, 국내에서 기반을 형성하고 있는 젊은 작가들을 아시아 무대에서 소개하고, 이를 통해 세계무대에 아시아 지역의 미술을 소개하는 기회를 마련하고자 하는 취지를 가진다.
이번 'City_net Asia 2007'에는 나고야(Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art), 광저우(Guangdong Museum of Art), 싱가폴(Singapore Art Museum), 서울(Seoul Museum of Art) 등 4개 도시가 참여, 지역의 떠오르는 젊은 작가들의 작품을 통해 그 도시의 정체성과 동시대의 미술을 통해 아시아 미술의 미래를 보여준다.

City_net Asia 2007
Seoul Museum of Art will hold the 3th City_net Asia from October 10 through November 11, this year.
City_net Asia 2007 will present talented young artists who have emerged in the domestic art society of each participating country. The curators of four public art museums in four cities selected the artists to be featured in this exhibition of contemporaneous art and social issues, and the curators and the artists worked together to show the regional characteristics of contemporary fine art.
The participating museums are the Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art, Guangdong Museum of Art, Singapore Art Museum and Seoul Museum of Art. Through the works of the young artists, City_net Asia 2007 will highlight the identity of each participating city and its unique contemporary art.
